About this blog

After attending a magnet school for science and technology, Rachael decided to break her parents’ hearts and majored in Art History. Studying archaeology, religion, history, and specializing in medieval architectural history, she wanted to combine Indiana Jones and Robert Langdon into a much shorter and more feminine package. Following undergrad, Rachael moved to South Korea as a Fulbright Teaching Assistant, where she taught seventeen year-olds English and tried to ignore their questions about rappers, Lady Gaga, and how to get into MIT. Upon returning home to Northern Virginia and after a stint as a customer service representative (thank you, recession), she started RK Creative Solutions and served as an advisor to DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) on several software programs for the military. She’s now a first-year student at the University of Virginia Darden School for Business and realizing that she should have taken accounting before starting a small business.
She is honored to be a Darden Student Blogger and thankful that the school doesn't censor her. Or hasn't yet.
